Welcome to our wedding website! We are so excited see you in Michigan this summer! Please text us if you have any questions that are not answered here. With love, Chelsie & Jacob
There is so much to do while you’re here for our wedding on August 29, 2026. Traverse City was recently voted Best of the Midwest Awards 2026 Food City of the Year and has a great food scene. Also enjoy a stroll along the Boardman River, visit local wineries on the Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas (Mawby is our favorite!), explore the shops and cafes in downtown Traverse City, or relax on nearby sandy beaches like Clinch Park. There is a fantastic farmer's market on Saturdays from 7:30 AM-12 PM. If you have extra time, consider a scenic drive or a short hike. Sleeping Bear Dunes is a tough hike, but the views are absolutely STUNNING.
A breathtaking viewpoint and rewarding hike about 30–40 minutes from Traverse City; expect sweeping lake views, sandy dunes, and well-marked trails. Bring water, good shoes, and arrive early on busy summer days.
A lively outdoor farmers market in downtown Traverse City featuring local produce, baked goods, artisan goods, and food vendors; Wednesdays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and Saturdays 7:30 AM–12:00 PM (June–October).
A charming winery on Old Mission Peninsula known for its sparkling wines and picturesque tasting room; about 20–30 minutes from Traverse City. Jacob took Chelsie here after the proposal!
A lively adult arcade in downtown Traverse City featuring classic and modern coin-op games, craft drinks, and a social atmosphere; live music on weekend nights.
A beloved Detroit-style pizzeria in downtown Traverse City and Chelsie’s favorite pizza in the world! Known for thick, cheesy square pies with a crispy, caramelized crust.
Our favorite breakfast spot in the city and where Jacob took Chelsie the morning he proposed!
Explore Front Street for a mix of cozy coffee shops, cute bookstores, boutique souvenir stores, and all things cherry—Traverse City’s signature fruit. Coffee recommendations: Good Harbor Coffee and Outpost.
